My Other Brother also known as MOB, opened in 2013 as a Camberwell sibling to Annoying Brother, in Fitzroy.

It instantly brought a cool vibe, innovative menus and Instagram foodies to the suburbs.

The café is the brainchild  of Julien Moussi, a footballer turned plant-based champion in the Melbourne café scene, with 12 café launches under his belt. The menu is based on superfoods and sustainable produce and I’m a big fan!

The setting

MOB is set in the heart of Camberwell, one of the best foodie locations in Melbourne. It’s hidden away in the car park behind Burke’s Row with its famous Sunday market.

Think white tiled walls, ceramic floors, vintage lights and wooden high stools.

It’s safe to say, they know a thing or two about café decor. MOB is spacious and there’s enough seating for large groups both inside and out. They open at 6am on Sundays for the market.

The little things

MOB is an insta foodies dream. They have so many amazing surfaces, backdrops, outdoor seating and so much natural light… you’re really spoilt for choice!

The green juice test

MOB create amazing smoothies, so I ordered their green smoothie which was pretty green! It was a blend of kale, peaches, mango, ginger, honey and coconut water

Perfect mix of green, zing and sweet all in one!

What I ate

I genuinely could not decide what to get, the menu is just too good! So I did what any true foodie would do… and ordered it all.

I started off with their granola bowl. This is a base of their homemade granola, topped with fresh yogurt, açai, fresh banana slices, kiwi, strawberries, crunchy nuts and runny peanut butter.

They’ve clearly mastered the art of food art here!

Then as my savoury option, I tried their nourish salad with the most delicious grilled halloumi. It was bursting with colour, texture and flavour. Even my meat obsessed boyfriend loved it!

The Bill

Green Smoothie – $10.50
Strawberry Milkshake – $8.50
Granola Bowl – $16.50
Nourish Salad – $18

What else

Their strawberry milkshake! Now this may not be my usual healthy drink of choice, but when you see how pretty it is, you’ll order one too!

What made us glow

The stunning food art made the meal almost too pretty to eat…

almost!
