Stockholm is home to Spotify, Abba and & Other Stories so when we searched for a juice bar we knew it was going to be cool and Juiceverket doesn’t disappoint.

Juiceverket is very cool. The four founders, including cult actor Andreas Wilson, originally designed it around a non-alcoholic cocktail bar.

It has Swedish house music, dynamic bartenders and the owners built the upcycled bars by hand making it a very special place to hang out and chill.

And the juices? Equally special and innovative. What’s not to love about a turmeric and pistachio smoothie?

The setting

We tried Juiceverket Centrum just inside a shopping centre in one of Stockholm’s main streets. There are two other branches in the city. We were greeted warmly by the bartenders.

The centrepiece is an industrial-style bar the owners discovered in France.

There are baskets of fresh apples and lemons scattered around and mixed in with junk shop finds. It’s a more masculine look than we are used to for a juice bar and our group of 6 all loved it!

The little things

The staff are some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable we have ever come across.

The bartender was passionate about juicing and knew what he was talking about.

He genuinely cared about the bar and their juices. And he took time to explain the history of the brand to us. We got the feeling that this passion came from the top down and the owners were hands on and passing on this knowledge and enthusiasm to their team.

The fresh juice test

Juice Verket’s signature green juice is the Coralldo pick me up which is a a zingy blend of spinach, green apple, fennel mint and spinach. Also unmissable  is the Homage Till Desiree a combo of mango, apple, vanilla, lemon and ginger. The protein shakes are  super fresh.

We tried the Big Beard Slim Down, a silky mix of  blueberries, vanilla protein, coconut oil, coconut flakes, spinach, avocado, and peanut butter and the nutrition packed Vaniljkuplett, a blend of  oat flakes, vanilla protein, peanut, chia and banana.

What we ate

We tried both the blueberry and the peanut butter bowls. The former was a delicious mix of coconut flakes, blueberries, banana, cinnamon, granola and almond milk.

The peanut butter bowls were packed with banana, cacao nibs, chocolate protein, peanut butter and oatmeal. Delicious!

What else?

We discovered the totally yum Swedish Barebells protein bars which back home in the UK you can find at Amazon.

What made us glow

The vibe, the passion and the juices!

The team behind the counter were some of the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable we have found on our travels.

We also loved the decor which was fresh and well as cool as we would expect for Stockholm.
