Bank Holiday weekends are a perfect opportunity for days out, fresh air and… picnics. Here’s our choice of the best places to grab and go some plant-based goodies.

Daylesford – Kingham, Gloucestershire, Notting Hill, Pimlico and Marylebone

Daylesford  have organic farm shops and cafés that are a perfect place to pick-up picnic goodies. They have super-fresh protein pots and salad boxes with kefir and kombucha to go.

Their selection of breads includes one of our favourite gluten-free options as well as their signature pumpernickel.

A wide range of cheese includes plenty of goats cheese options. And there is a wide range of organic fruit for dessert along with the most delicious Upcakes which are refined-sugar free goodies that once tried are always on repeat.

High Mood Food

High Mood Food focuses on gut health or the five K’s as they call them- kefir, kombucha, krauts, kimchi and quinoa sourdough. They enrich their beautiful menu with fermented products.

Located next to Selfridges and a short walk to Hyde Park or Regent’s Park it is the perfect picnic pick-up.

For picnics, they offer salad bowls to go with a wide range of plant-powered options all prepared on-site daily.  Their signature krauts go with all their alfresco foods. We can highly recommend their incredible brownies and their immune boosting shots.

LLS, Hampstead

This award winning Hampstead café is an ideal picnic pick-up spot for Hampstead Heath. LLS creates amazingly fresh salad pots and they have recently replaced their glass jars with environmentally friendly compostable plastic containers.

Try The Golden One or The Squash-both vegan and GF.

Plus their range of sandwiches, freshly squeezed smoothies and cakes complete the perfect outdoor feast.

Tanya’s, Chelsea

We love the mantra of Tanya’s Café– raw, organic, handmade and plant-based.

It’s also an ideal stop off for an alfresco lunch and handy for Hyde Park.

There’s a good range of main salads, including the Adventure Bowl and Holy Kale and Avo, side salads and raw dehydrated snacks and cakes. Plus there is a wide range of juices and mylks.
